The role: 

Working as Commercial Lead for the Norwegian market means that you are FirstVet's “feet on the ground” and by that playing a super-important role in growing and developing our business in Norway. Your main mission will be to ensure that we have the closeness and localization to the Norwegian market needed in order to deliver a high-quality service. By building on our existing relationships as well as tie new local contacts and partnerships, you will contribute to our growth in the Norwegian market. 

You will be part of the Nordic team and report to the Head of Nordics. You will also work closely with our global partnership team as well as the Norwegian lead veterinarian. You will drive your daily work and ideas on your own, constantly being creative in coming up with new ideas on how to improve and develop FirstVet's position and growth in the Norwegian market. 

This is a full-time role based in Oslo. During this specific time, we follow the local guidelines and therefore work remotely but have an office in the Oslo area. 

Your responsibilities: 

  • Set and execute an operational plan for the Norwegian market together with the Head of Nordics.
  • Ensure that the Norwegian organization is functioning excellently to deliver and beat targets and budgets from all aspects of our business.
  • Develop and improve our relationship with our existing partners.
  • Identify and set up new partnerships together with the Nordic partnership team.
  • Make sure that our service and delivery in Norway are to the highest standards together with your Country Lead Vet and Team.
  • Initiate, develop and operate local marketing efforts together with the marketing team.

The person we are looking for: 

To be successful in this role, we believe that you are a doer and a problem solver. You are a person who gets things done and doesn’t wait around for someone to serve it to you. You have a humble personality, great interpersonal skills, and a knack for building long-lasting relationships. You are sales-oriented, have a strong analytical mindset, and have an eye for business development. We also see that you are an adept planner. We think this means that you... 

  • Have +2 years of working experience, preferably from analytical positions within another startup or Management consulting and/or Private /Equity/Venture Capital or Executive Trainee.
  • Have an academic degree in Business, Engineering, Law, or other relevant fields.
  • Any experience in the pet-related and/or insurance industry is valued as highly beneficial. 
  • Speak Norwegian and English fluently.  

Apart from the above-mentioned requirements, it goes without saying that an interest in animals is highly desirable. We’re a pet-orientated organization and it’s not unusual for a dog or cat to join our Zoom calls!
