FirstVet is the first truly digital veterinary clinic. We help pet owners meet with local, experienced veterinarians via their smartphone or computer. The role:

Ever since FirstVet started in 2016 we have been on a journey of rapid growth, and we are not stopping here. FirstVet’s UK business is growing quickly and as a part of that, we are looking to expand the UK team by hiring a Commercial Lead who will play a crucial role in driving forward our growth efforts in the UK.

As the Commercial Lead, you will join a small UK team of 9 and report to the UK Country Manager, in addition to working closely with our central Partnerships, Tech and Marketing teams at our Stockholm HQ. This is an exciting, fast-paced growth-focussed role that combines strategy, sales and day-to-day execution.

You will play a key role in building the UK’s partnership strategy. This role requires strong project management skills and the ability to grow new and existing relationships. You will have many unique ideas on how to grow our UK customer base and exceed revenue targets. No two days will look the same.

This is a full-time role based in our London office. The London team currently operates a flexible working arrangement (combination of office and remote).

Salary: £40,000 per annum plus excellent benefits package

Your responsibilities:

- Own and execute the UK partnerships strategy and growth roadmap for the UK market

- Identify, develop and manage long-term partnerships with pet insurers and players in the pet health space

- Increase revenue and other KPIs by analysing performance data and transforming your findings into actionable strategy

- Own the reporting of the partnerships revenue stream with regular updates to senior stakeholders on performance vs targets

- Identify opportunities to deepen and grow relationships with key partners by involving and working cross-functionally with other FirstVet teams

- Work with the central Marketing team to design, execute and evaluate marketing campaigns that drive value for partners

- Own and improve core operational processes such as partner MI reporting and invoicing

The person we are looking for:

To be successful in this role, you should be a self-starter who doesn’t hesitate to take initiative. You should also have a strong interest in joining an early-stage startup where roles and responsibilities aren’t always narrowly or clearly defined and everyone works across a wide array of functions and responsibilities. You have innovative and creative ideas on how to solve problems and you take action when challenging situations occur. You’re ready to get stuck in, learn on the job and quickly become an integral part of the UK team.

About you: 

- You have at least 3 years experience in a startup or growth company environment, professional services firm or a technology company

- You have an innovative, creative and commercial mindset

- You possess strong quantitative and analytical skills and are accustomed to making data driven decisions from large datasets

- You are very proactive, with an ability to navigate and prioritise different projects/deadlines and are able to own a project from start to finish

- You have a proven track-record in meeting and exceeding targets

- You enjoy working with a wide variety of individuals, managing multiple stakeholders to build consensus across different types of parties

- You’ll thrive in a dynamic environment where you have the opportunity to shape your role within a growing startup
